West Gardiner Rod and Gun Club

                                                 Archery Program

Open House at the outdoor range today (Aug. 18) from 9 to 1.

General Archery Shoots

From January through March, the club hosts open indoor archery shoots on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 PM.  Cost for the entire evening on Monday and Wednesday nights is $8 (16 and over) and $5 (15 and younger).   Monday nights focus on marksmanship, while Wednesday nights focus more on hunters and hunting.                   (NO CROSSBOWS, since the range is too short)

The Tuesday night program cost is $10 per child with a family discount for 3 or more in the same family.

The kitchen will be open and snacks and drinks are available. The building is warm and well lit with 12 lanes of shooting.   A lot of work and money has been put into this project.   It would be great to see a good turnout.

Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD)

From December through May, the club hosts instructional Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) for local youth.  These sessions are conducted Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 PM for beginners and 6:30 to 7:30 PM for advanced students.  The cost is $10 per evening, plus a $10 bow rental (if required).  (Due to a scheduling conflict, these sessions will be on Wednesday evenings from April through May.)  For any additional information, please call Jim McDevitt (207-322-2344).
